Together Again: Zella is Home and Safe!
We are happy to announce that Zella is back home with us in Seattle after being away for several weeks. She has been with us for a number of years after we rescued her as a stray in Texas. From her early street days she has become very nervous around most people but is incredibly affectionate with my wife and I. She has become a kindred spirit well beyond what I thought was possible from a cat. She has been an indoor cat during her time with us as we have moved to several locations around the country. She mysteriously vanished from our apartment not long after arriving in Seattle. New territory and not a sign of her anywhere.
We got a call from a neighbor who saw one of our lost posters. The first sighting report by anyone after weeks. She was actually spotted in our yard. We followed up on the tip, found her and scooped her up and brought her home. She had found her way home from wherever. She is happily eating and resting after likely being in hiding. Goes to show we should hold out hope and that they can find their way home.
